About
Michael Calabrese found his passion for photography at an early age. A native of Jersey City, NJ, he attended workshops for Art & Photography as a child. After high school, Michael continued his education at the Germain School of Photography and the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Michael began his production career working on large advertising Print campaigns and Television commercials. Clients include Target, Home Depot, UPS, PSE&G, Wachovia Bank and OPA Racing. His passion and hard work ethic landed him several key roles such as location scout, Studio Manager and Producer.
Michael has extensive location experience. His projects have taken him across the United States and parts of Canada. He really enjoys Event Photography and annual report work. A member of the International Center of Photography (ICP), he loves taking print making courses and is working on his Photographic Darkroom.
A supporter of the arts, Michael clears his mind and finds inspiration while listening to jazz music on his antique Victor Victoria Phonograph. Currently residing near the Jersey shore, Michael enjoys long swims in the ocean and mountain biking. Professional offshore Powerboat racing is his favorite way to spend his free time.
Michael is very excited to show his Fine Art Photography at the Soho Gallery in New York in the summer of 2020.
